How will the judging work?
Judging would be based on the following 5 criteria leading to the final score of your performance. Each of these factors would be rated by our judges for the contestant (1 to 5 points)

Energy & Personality (20%)

Costume (20%)
Event organizers reserve the right to make changes to these criteria
Please be aware:
Proceeds from this event go to PRAGNYA for funding expansion of the program to include more children & activities for them.

This effort is entirely student run, with minimal adult intervention. We want to be the voice giving power to other students' voices. ​

Music and Dance unites us all - regardless of language, race, communication abilities, so much more.... So, we decided to create this event to show our love and support to our friends on the Autism Spectrum who are part of PRAGNYA, working with Pragnya's academic mentoring and social immersion programs.
​
Children on the Autism spectrum need our love, our support, our understanding and compassion, NOT sympathy or Apathy. As ALLIES of PRAGNYA, we are putting up this event, as teens ourselves, to do something we all love to do - DANCE !!!!! and what can be better than Bollywood Dance!!!

Sign up for this dance competition if you love dancing, this will be on April 27, 2019. The winning team and individuals get the title and aside from a host of media opportunities throughout the year to be featured on the most popular Radio Dehotties.
GROUPS and SOLOISTS welcome - Dance is the only criteria. If you can show your versatility by blending fusion, classical and bollywood into your video or performance - more power to you !!!!

We are opening up for two(2) categories in two genres of dance (Classical and Cinematic) :

SOLO PERFORMANCES (3-5mins)
-
$30 per performer

GROUP PERFORMANCES (5-7mins)
-
2 to 4 member group - $20 per performer
-
5+ member group - $10 per performer

Each Category has four Sub categories :
-
Sub Juniors - Age 5 to 8yrs
-
Juniors - Age 9 to 12yrs
-
Seniors - Age 13 to 18yrs
-
Adult - Age 19+ years​

Milpitas High School Theater,
1285 Escuela Pkwy, Milpitas, CA 95035.

Program Schedule for Apr27th :
2:30 PM - Gates Open (Participants Reporting time)
2:45 PM - Introduction of Event by Emcees
3:00 PM - STEP UP for Pragnya - Dance Contest begins
Sub- Juniors / Juniors / Seniors/Adult (SOLO & Group) ​
5:45 PM - Pragnya BAND performance followed by
Judges & Founder Address
6:45 PM - STEP UP for Pragnya - Award Ceremony

Admission tickets
The event is open to all and please have all your friends and family come to the show, we have requested the judges to consider audience response/ involvement as one of the criteria for judging.

NOTE : Admission tickets cost $10 per person, children under 5yrs of age enter FREE and tickets are for family & friends of the participants and general audience. PARTICIPANTS DON'T HAVE TO PURCHASE TICKETS.
